Composing and Arranging

Dr. Thoms is frequently called upon to compose, arrange or transcribe music for institutions, ensembles, and directors.

Dr. Thoms has multiple compositions for choir published, and many other compositions that have been written for specific events and ensembles which currently are unpublished. Dr. Thoms is currently accepting commissions to write new choral or choral/ orchestral pieces. His fee is negotiable, but a fee of $500 per completed minute of composition is his average cost.

For transcriptions including hymn accompaniment transcriptions for brass and timpani. The standard fee is a $50/ hour fee. Please contact Dr. Thoms about your needs and to get a quote.
