Dr. Thoms will be bass soloist for the Handel Messiah (part 1) with the Marvin UMC Chancel Choir in Tyler, TX.
91st Bismarck-Mandan Messiah Concert
Dr. Jason Thoms, has been invited to serve as the director of the 91st Annual Bismarck-Mandan Messiah Concert hosted at Trinity Lutheran Church in Bismarck, ND. The choir will be accompanied by members of the Missouri Valley Chamber Orchestra.
BSC Fall Choir Concert
Dr. Thoms conducts the BSC Concert Choir and Women’s Chamber Choir. The choirs will join the Men’s Chamber Choir in performing a variety of music from Renaissance Madrigals to modern favorites.
BSC Patriotic Concert
Dr. Thoms conducts the BSC Concert Choir and Women’s Chamber Choir. The choirs will join the BSC Band to perform Randall Thompson’s “Testament of Freedom”, and will sing a number of other selections including Alice Parker’s famous “When Johnny Comes Marching Home”.
Bach in Baltimore
Dr. Jason Thoms, Bass-Baritone, performs for the Bach in Baltimore Concert with Maestro Herb Dimmock, conducting. The repertoire for the performance includes the world-premiere of Hollis Thoms’ Requiem in the time of Coronavirus (2020), and Bach cantata #4, “Christ lag es Todesbaden”.
Mozart Requiem
Dr. Jason Thoms, Bass-Baritone, sings the Bass solos in the Bismarck-Mandan Symphony Orchestra’s performance of the Mozart Requiem. The performance is at the Belle Mehus Auditorium in Bismarck, ND.
Requiem for 9/11
Dr. Jason Thoms, Founder and Artistic Director of the Dakota Pro Musica, leads a string chamber orchestra with soprano, Natalie Campbell in Hollis Thoms’ power “Requiem for 9/11”. Additional pieces on the concert include Edward Elgar’s “Serenade for Strings” and Samuel Barber’s “Adagio for Strings”.
