On November 23, 2021, it was announced that Benedict Sheehan’s “Liturgy of St. John Chrysostom” was nominated for a 2022 Grammy in the Best Choral Performance catagory. Dr. Thoms is one of the three featured soloists on the recording, and his name was listed in the official Grammy nomination announcement!! Please check out the recording!!

Dr. Thoms has been singing Orthodox choral music for over a decade and in the past six years, he has been singing with a number of Orthodox churches and professional ensembles. His new article is written from a strong basis in experience and exploration in this amazing Christian tradition.
